St. Augustine dentist Henry Farrin and George Ettles of Jacksonville started the Florida Artificial Bait Company in the late 1920s and made these Superstrike Shrimp lures. The lures are made of celluloid. Ettles patented the lures. He moved the company to the Miami area where it operated for a time in the 1930s.
