This Memorial is located adjacent to World War I and Vietnam War Memorials in Admiral Mason Park on Bayfront Parkway.
Designed by Bullock-Tice Architects and Capt. Bob Rasmussen, of the National Museum of Naval Aviation, this memorial is highlighted by a large granite II with a bronze V-for-victory in the forefront. Five bronze life-size figures, located within the fifty-foot stone circle, honor the 16 million men and women who served on land, at sea, in the air, and at home during World War II.
