This site is located in the Northwest region of the state.
DIRECTIONS
The Naval Coastal Systems Visitor Reception Center is located on the south side of US 98, just east of Hathaway Bridge.
Created as a Naval Section Base in 1942, this site became the U.S. Naval Amphibious Training Base, St. Andrews Bay before mid-1944. Inactivated in June 1945, the U.S. Navy Mine Countermeasures Station was established here in July 1945.
This facility later became known as the Naval Coastal Systems Station with restricted public access.
