The Collier County Museum's five-acre historical park features native Florida gardens, an orchid house, two historic Naples cottages, vintage swamp buggies, an archaeology lab, and a restored 1910 steam logging locomotive. A portion of the permanent exhibit gallery is dedicated to Naples Army Air Field, which served as a training facility during World War II. At the height of the war, several hundred men and 75 aircraft were assigned to the Naples base. In addition, an authentic Sherman tank is displayed on the museum grounds.
