DIRECTIONS
Located on the north side of Seaway Drive on the west side of Causeway Island. Seaway Drive intersects with US1 north of downtown Fort Pierce.
In addition to their local and area history artifacts and exhibits, the St. Lucie County Regional Historical Center maintains a WWII exhibit which includes uniforms, photographs, and copies of the USNATB-Fort Pierce base newspaper, the Mock-Up. A special monument was dedicated in January 1993 to mark the fiftieth anniversary of the base and to honor those men and women who served at that site.
Adjacent to the museum site is an Attack Boat Association display of a WWII Higgins Boat and a later version of the same vessel. The association hosts a Veteran's Day recognition ceremony annually at this site. In addition, a special commemorative marker recognizing the training and sacrifice of the attack boat crews can be found on this site.
