DIRECTIONS
To reach the Melbourne Village Community Center, exit I-95 at US 192 (Exit 71) and proceed east to Dayton Boulevard. Turn left (north) to Hall Road [a dirt road]. Turn right (east) and continue to the end to locate the Community Center.
With the deactivation and closing of NAS Banana River in September 1947, several of the military barracks buildings returned to useful service in the American Homesteading Foundation intentional community of Melbourne Village. Moved to this site on Hall Road in 1948, this structure became, and remains, a community center. Other than modest alterations, the exterior appearance remains as it looked when constructed in the mid-1940's.
