DIRECTIONS
From US-19 s, take the SR-693 S/66th Street North exit towards St. Petersburg Beach. Merge onto 66th Street North and , after approximately 8.6 miles, turn right onto 9th Avenue North. Ninth Avenue North then becomes Country Club Road North. Turn left onto Park Street North to Admiral Farragut Academy.
One of the finest of the boom era hotels in the area, this Mediterranean Revival style structure opened in 1925. With the outbreak of World War II, the Jungle Club Hotel became housing for Army Air Corps trainees, both in the hotel and in tents on the grounds.
With the end of hostilities in 1945, the Admiral Farragut Academy of Pine Beach, New Jersey, a Naval Honor School, acquired the hotel for use as a Florida campus.
