The Avon Park Museum is located adjacent to the railroad tracks just north of East Main Street and just east of US27.
This site is listed in the National Register of Historic Places.
Located in the historic Seaboard Air Line Railroad Station, the museum is operated by the Avon Park Historical Society with the mission of preserving the history, records, memorabilia, articles and papers pertaining to the City of Avon Park and its environs and the collection of materials and artifacts related thereto. Within the museum a Memorial Room contains scrapbooks, photographs, uniforms, and other artifacts related to WWII activities in Avon Park.
