Apollo 13


Apollo 13 launched on April 11, 1970. It would have been the third crewed mission to land on the Moon, but an oxygen tank explosion forced the astronauts to return to Earth. The postage stamp honors the 1968 Apollo 8 mission and was originally issued in 1969.
