60s Bathing Suit
With its 1,350 miles of coastline, Florida is a haven for swimmers and sun-bathers alike. This mid-1960s bathing suit, purchased and worn in Hialeah, Florida, is a nylon-knit with four rows of crocheted flowers down the front. It was made by DeWeese Designs of Los Angeles, California, known for their high-fashion swimsuits and sundresses. (Collection of the Museum of Florida History)
