Yarmulke
Hanukkah, known as the Jewish Festival of Lights, celebrated by members of the Jewish faith. The dates of the holiday are based on the Hebrew Calendar, but generally fall sometime in November or December. The small domed hat seen here is known as a yarmulke or a kippah and is worn by male members of the Jewish faith. The cap is made of blue velvet, featuring a decorative wave-like border of silver metallic cloth and 5 flower-like appliqués on the crown of the cap. (Collection of the Museum of Florida History)
