John Goldbach of Jacksonville designed this lure and received a patent for it in 1948. The lure had a hollow chamber inside. As it was pulled through the water, the water was forced through a hole in the nose, pushing air through the chamber, and out a hole in the tail. This produced air bubbles and made the tail flicker, giving the lure its name of Bubble Dancer.
