Acc. no. 2021M.012.069
Arthur “Dazzy” Vance was a well-known big league baseball player who pitched for the Brooklyn Dodgers and other major league teams. An avid fisherman, he retired to Homosassa Springs in 1935 where he already had a home. Two years later, Vance and Paul Manon of Anglers Bait Company entered an agreement allowing Manon to make lures using Vance’s name. However, Manon died about six months later ending production of the Dazzy Vance lures.
