The Art of Uncle Monday
Kitty Kitson Petterson's Illustrations for Uncle Monday and Other Florida Tales
The drawings and watercolors in this exhibit illustrate Dr. Kristin G. Congdon's book of traditional tales. These stories go back 100 years and more in Florida's history and folklore.
"These stories and illustrations provide us with a way to know and enjoy history and learn a little bit more about ourselves, as we root ourselves more deeply in the swamps, cities, and beaches that have made Florida such an amazing state."
-Kristin G. Congdon, Uncle Monday and Other Florida Tales
55 framed illustrations, four banners 30"w x 20"h, introduction panel, binder containing book's stories, and one Uncle Monday book contained in a frame.
