The 34th Annual Children's Day at the Museum of Florida History
This popular event offers an array of performances, activities, and history for the whole family!
Visitors can learn about Florida's history from exhibitors like the State's Archaeological Research Lab and Mission San Luis. Or, visitors can explore science with exhibitors like the National MagLab. As an added bonus, the Pilot Club will be providing complimentary bicycle helmets fitted to protect our young historians.
Live performances are presented by the Emerald Coast Sword Guild, Young Actors Theatre, Dr. Sound's Music Clinic, and many others! Activities such as face painting, balloon animals, and a variety of games will also be available.
"This is a great event that allows the Department of State to host a multitude of community organizations that cater to children," said Secretary of State Ken Detzner. "We love hosting this event and seeing the thousands of smiling faces that come out to enjoy it. With the many opportunities for exploration and discovery, I sometimes think the adults enjoy it as much as the children!"
From history and science to face painting and performances, there is something for everyone at Children's Day!
Parking and admission are free. Some activities require tickets that can be purchased at the event or in advance at the Museum gift shop. Lunch is available for purchase from The Egg Express Café in the Museum lobby. For more information, call 850.245.6400.
