T.O.U.R. Day

T.O.U.R. (Tourism is Our Ultimate Resource) Day Spend your Saturday at two of Florida’s most renowned museums – The Florida Historic Capitol Museum and The Museum of Florida History! Pick up a scavenger hunt at either location. Explore the exhibits of both museums to fill in clues for the secret password. Once you’ve got it, whisper the secret password to the staff at either history shop to receive your special prize! Celebrate the grand opening of the Florida Historic Capitol Museum’s new temporary exhibit Clothes Lines: Florida Political T-shirts featuring political clothing that showcases the art of wearing your opinion on your sleeve. Activities for all ages begin at 10 a.m., with curator’s tours, crafts, games, documentary screenings, and more offered throughout the day. Hotdogs and refreshments provided. Walk down the hill to the Museum of Florida History to check out the latest exhibit, Beaches, Creatures, and Cowboys: Florida Movie Posters. Get inspired by Florida’s famous films and create a fun and funky poster for your own fabulous Florida film.
